Special Education Specialist

This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Special Education Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading tutoring sessions, providing coaching and guidance to students with diverse needs, and creating educational resources to support their learning.

  • Lead tutors in onboarding and ongoing coaching to ensure K-12 students receive high-quality instruction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with IEPs/504s, including autism, ADHD, ELL, and behavior supports.
  • Create and maintain educational resources, including the SPED Toolkit, sample lessons, and planning templates.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to tutors, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in special education, and apply this knowledge to improve instructional quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field, and 3+ years of experience in K-12 special education.
  • Proven experience in coaching and facilitating professional development, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
