Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fire Life Safety Coordinator to join our team at Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive fire life safety accident prevention programs throughout the hotel.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To oversee and manage all aspects of fire life safety within the hotel, including fire hazard elimination, system inspection, testing and maintenance, emergency planning, and employee training.
  • To ensure compliance with local and national fire safety codes and regulations, as well as corporate policies and procedures.
  • To establish and maintain effective relationships with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • To conduct regular safety inspections to identify potential fire hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • To coordinate with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to respond to fires and other emergencies, and to develop training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • To plan, organize, and lead the fire life safety program, ensuring that all hotel employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • To investigate and report on any incidents or near misses involving fire or other safety risks.
  • To provide technical guidance and support to other departments on fire safety-related matters.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of success in managing and improving fire safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address potential fire hazards.
  • Familiarity with local and national fire safety codes and regulations, as well as corporate policies and procedures.
