Project Manager

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving product development and business growth from inception to delivery. This individual will focus on strategic planning, leadership, and process enhancement.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Strategy:
    • Owning and leading strategic projects for Engineering and Business, encompassing third-party integrations, marketplace expansion, eCommerce technology, and business initiatives such as General Ledger replacements and departmental tool enhancements.
    • Leading business projects across the organization, ensuring effective collaboration and resource allocation.
  • Process Leadership:
    • Developing and implementing business projects, aligning with corporate objectives.
  • Platform & Feature Enhancement:
    • Acting as a catalyst for process improvement, streamlining and automating workflows, and continuously enhancing platform and toolset features.
Requirements & Development Lifecycle:
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering:
    • Facilitating discussions with internal and external stakeholders to gather product requirements and feedback, ensuring the Engineering team receives detailed information on business needs and leads development meetings with Jira.
  • Product Definition & Prioritization:
    • Capturing high-level product requirements and translating them into actionable tasks, prioritizing based on LOE and/or ROI in line with corporate goals.
  • Business Solutions:
    • Collaborating with Business Departments to design and develop technology-based process improvements, driving automation and efficiency.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PM & PROBLEM RESOLUTION:
  • Business & Technology Workflow Enhancement:
    • Understanding business and technology workflows to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Project Facilitation & Completion:
    • Facilitating effective project completion across stakeholders from technology teams to business functions.
  • Conflict Resolution & Roadblock Management:
    • Identifying and resolving conflicts, priorities, and roadblocks to enable the team to achieve goals.
  • Technical Understanding & Advocacy:
    • Working with the business to understand the platform, its integrations, and features, bridging technical capabilities with business needs.
  • Business Re-engineering & Automation:
    • Managing technology development efforts while supporting business re-engineering, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) and at least 5 years of related PM experience, ideally with eCommerce knowledge.
  • eCommerce Platform Expertise:
    • Understanding of eCommerce platforms, ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Databases (SQL Server and MySQL), and reporting platforms (Cognos and MS SSRS).
  • Product Documentation:
    • Ability to document product requirements with sufficient knowledge and clarity for technical teams.
  • Requirements Analysis:
    • Experience performing thorough requirements analysis through independent research and testing methodologies.
  • Project Management Tools:
    • Proficiency with Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar PM tools.
