As an Investment Specialist at the Asian Development Bank, you will lead the Deal Team and contribute to the development of a best-in-class equity asset and portfolio management function. This role is crucial to the Workforce Rebalancing Framework, aiming to enhance ADB's in-house expertise.
Responsibilities- Originate equity investments and manage due diligence processes to assess expected risks and returns.
- Provide advice on direct equity structuring, valuation, and bidding strategy to the deal team.
- Assume primary relationship responsibility for assigned accounts and oversee the monitoring of financial health and development impact.
- Evaluate portfolio performance based on composition, size, quality, concentration risk, diversification, credit quality migration, and valuation movements.
- Lead the introduction of international best practices in corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls at investee companies.
- A University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields; preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent.
- At least 6 years of experience with the private sector in Origination, Processing, and Portfolio management covering equity, capital markets, and financial structuring.
- International experience working in several emerging markets with understanding and appreciation of equity markets and products.
- Strong structuring and financing capabilities, including experience in financial modeling, risk management, and advanced valuation analysis.
