We are seeking a seasoned medical content specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare operations, you will be responsible for conducting research and identifying relevant medical coding and billing documents to inform our automated claims editing solution.

This role requires a high degree of expertise in medical coding and billing, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively present findings to clinical colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of medical coding and billing documents to identify claim denial or covered criteria.
  • Present findings and recommendations to medical directors and other clinical colleagues to obtain consensus on proposed denial criteria.
  • Provide clinical content support to customers as needed, ensuring seamless integration with our solutions.
  • Enter data into our database, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in record-keeping.
  • Analyze and interpret ICD-10-CM coding conventions and guidelines to inform business rules.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with an active RN license.
  • AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) or AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in CPT Coding, HCPCS, Medical Billing, Claims Denials, and/or Chart Review/Auditing.
  • Previous experience working with US health insurance payers in a claims, appeals, or coding capacity.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
