Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight and/or preparation of tax returns, Corporate Affairs compliances, and other required filings for APAC, focusing on Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
- Identify areas to enhance and automate direct and indirect tax compliance processes.
- SOX audit experience and documentation skills are crucial.
- Oversee and assist with direct and indirect tax audits, tax technical research, and documenting audit results for management review.
- Responsible for reviewing, responding, and resolving various tax notices or any tax-related matters with government authorities in a timely manner.
- Work closely with business partners to resolve tax, audit, or SOX-related matters and provide guidance as needed.
- Support the APAC tax team to ensure timely reporting, payments, and compliance requirements.
- Active participation and support to Global and FSSC strategies, priorities, and initiatives.
- Ad hoc tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.
- 7-10 years of corporate tax experience with multinational companies is required.
- Big four auditing firm experience is advantageous.
- Expertise in Philippines tax laws (including PEZA and BOI) and SEC regulations, as well as US GAAP accounting standards, is essential.
- Experience in Australia and New Zealand tax and compliance is an advantage but not strictly necessary.
- Leadership skills, including project management and multiple priority handling.
- Attention to detail.
- BPO/SSC work experience.
- Extensive experience and deep knowledge in ERP systems, technical accounting, reporting, analysis, and risk control management.
- Advanced communication skills, both written and oral.
- Advanced leadership, talent management, and critical thinking abilities.
- Stakeholder management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making experience.
