The Taxation Expert Staff Member will be responsible for preparing and filing necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns, overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize returns.
  • Financial Transaction Review: Review and reconcile daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Closing Processes: Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
  • Audit Support: Assist in financial audits to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in tax accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of BIR rulings and local tax regulations.
  • Skill: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Aptitude: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
