Staff Accountant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Staff Accountant to join our team. The primary role of this position is to be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sales reporting and analysis.
  • Record and monitor cash collections.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Work with the team on implementing and managing workflows and the closing process.
  • Prepare clear and concise workpapers and analysis.
  • Report on financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner.
  • Prepare journal entries, schedules, and matrices.
  • Execute journal entries and month-end close with little supervision.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and lead special projects.
  • Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience.
  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook), as well as QuickBooks and other Finance & Accounting related software.
