Business Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our team.

  • Analyse the current and future business environment and systems landscape.
  • Gather and document business and client project requirements, capturing context, current state, desired outcomes, and objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that are clear, unambiguous, and suitable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present detailed requirements to stakeholders to obtain consensus and buy-in.
  • Review and evaluate proposed solutions for alignment with business and customer needs, highlighting key risks.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to design and implement solutions that align with the company's data-led strategy.
  • Assess and manage the impact of requirements on data systems and business processes.
  • Support development, systems testing, UAT, and implementation by working closely with solution partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Validate test case scenarios against BRDs and audit test case results performed by UAT testers.
  • Ensure adherence to change control and change management procedures related to business requirements.
  • Share best practices and insights with the wider team and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business and customer needs.
  • Provide input into the development of solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Assist in the validation of test cases against BRDs and auditing test case results.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through sharing best practices and insights.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Analysis, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data systems and management.
  • Proven success in business and quality analysis roles involving complex project delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing abilities at all organisational levels.
  • Proficiency with business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., user stories, process flowcharting, requirements documentation).
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with project management and change platforms (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Open Project, Azure).
