Senior Financial Professional for Tax Support

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing tax support and managing various tasks, including financial statement processing, tax return preparation, and general ledger maintenance.
Main Responsibilities:- Process financial statements to Trial Balance stage and prepare them for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office.
- Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Prepare private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of year compliance jobs.
- Experience with Division 7a loans.
- Complete required tax reporting in a timely manner.
- Prepare and update tax provision schedules.
- Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
- Mentor and review work for existing TOA Junior Accountants.
- Lead the team as a future TOA Accountant, mentoring/reviewing work for team members, and reporting work to Accountant Managers.
- A graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology, with an advantage if CPA licensed.
- Total experience of more than 4 years in accounting and tax, with at least 4+ years in AU tax accounting.
- Leadership capabilities and interest in leading the team in the future.
- Advantage if experienced in an accounting/audit firm.
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Attentive to details and organized.
- Good time management skills.
