Project Engineering Position

We are seeking a Project Engineer to handle and assist in preparing technical documents for renewable projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical specifications and design drawings about the electrical aspects of the project.
  • Assist the Head of Engineering in answering queries from bidders about tender documents issued for tendering.
  • Evaluate bid proposals from various bidders for any engineering projects implemented by the organization.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to ensure engineering and construction activities are performed on time, on budget, and quality.
  • Monitor construction activities and generate periodic reports.
  • Review engineering design drawings, technical specifications, computations, systems description, and vendor instruction manuals.
  • Conduct special technical studies.
  • Review quality assurance and safety programs and submit findings and recommendations.
  • Provide engineering support to the project manager and site personnel for all electrical aspects of the project.
  • Oversee the design of all electrical aspects of all temporary and permanent project facilities.
  • Validate the project engineer's outputs before the engineering head's review and approval.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to the head of engineering.

Requirements:

Education: A graduate with a bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Preferably electrical.

Experience: At least five years of work experience and at least two years' experience in power generation or related industries are required.

Licence: Must be a licensed electrical engineer.

Skills and Essential Traits:

A good background in solar power plant systems is necessary. MS project skills are also essential. Good knowledge of standards, methods, practices, tools, and materials for engineering design, preferably in solar power plants.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and technical/design drawings is required. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

A team player with the ability to work in a collaborative environment is required. Highly motivated individuals and results-driven professionals are preferred.

Ability to work well under pressure, learn, train others, and adapt to change is necessary. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills are also essential.
