Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

The primary function of this role is to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic arithmetic calculations to collect payments and make change accurately.
  • Operate retail point-of-sale systems, scanners, scales, and credit/debit card terminals efficiently.
  • Balance the cash register and generate reports for sales, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Accept payments, verify prices and quantities, and provide receipts to customers in a timely manner.
  • Handle returns and exchanges professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain an accurate and secure cash drawer at all times.
  • Keep the checkout area organized and clean, promoting a positive shopping environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree preferred (in Business or a related field).
  • Must have sufficient background in retail sales, preferably with point-of-sale experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver quality customer service and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar retail industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and technology.
