SEO Content Writer Job Description

We're seeking a skilled SEO Content Writer to join our team. As an SEO Content Writer, you will create engaging content that is optimized for search engines and supports the larger business objectives.

This role involves combining keyword research, subject matter research, and creative writing to craft helpful articles, expand page content, and optimize meta titles and descriptions.

You'll be responsible for conducting subject matter research, incorporating expert perspectives, real-world examples, or original analysis to provide unique value beyond what's already ranking. You'll also collaborate with other team members to produce content for page expansion, SEO optimization, and link-building initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, as well as impeccable grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills. They will be able to work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders within the organization and across other teams to support initiatives, deliver high-quality work, and meet aggressive production goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create engaging content that is optimized for search engines and supports the larger business objectives.
  • Support the content manager in topic development, content brief creation, and content editing.
  • Conduct subject matter research and incorporate expert perspectives, real-world examples, or original analysis to provide unique value beyond what's already ranking.
  • Collaborate with other team members to produce content for page expansion, SEO optimization, and link-building initiatives.
  • Document and maintain the status of project progress and completed work.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in SEO content writing or a related field.
  • Impeccable use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative and strategic thinking skills.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Proven track record of developing high-value content that demonstrates subject matter expertise and aligns with EEAT standards.
  • Experience in keyword research tools and analytics platforms (e.g., SEMRush, GA4, Search Console).
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
