Job Description

Senior ESG Research Analyst Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior ESG Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our research department, you will play a critical role in driving our research agenda and delivering high-quality reports to our clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Write and edit research reports by reviewing publicly available information as disclosed by public companies, verifying data and issuing recommendations based on Glass Lewis policies.
  • Analyze and make voting recommendations for governance and/or compensation related proposals in Europe, Latin America, and Canada.
  • Demonstrate firm competency in Glass Lewis governance policy; deviate from Glass Lewis policy and provide cogent explanations when necessary.
  • Coordinate with research teams and human resources to hire and train research associates.
  • Help manage seasonal research associates, providing supervision and assistance in the writing and editing of research reports.
  • Contribute to policy and guidelines update processes, and contribute to annual content projects on an as-needed basis.
  • Identify and implement possible changes to research tools on an ongoing basis.
  • Mentor research associates, providing feedback and assistance in writing and editing of research reports.

$140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience

Requirements

Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients

Proven experience in ESG research and analysis, with a strong understanding of governance and corporate finance principles

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or environmental studies

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
