The Fixed Asset Accountant plays a crucial part in the financial reporting process and asset lifecycle management, responsible for managing and overseeing the company's fixed asset records.

Main Duties:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze fixed asset reports for financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP or relevant accounting standards.
  2. Depreciation Calculations: Calculate and post monthly depreciation and amortization entries.
  3. Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of fixed asset accounts, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  4. Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures related to fixed assets, including internal controls and audits.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting or general accounting roles.
  3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Business Central, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of fixed asset management systems is a plus.
  4. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
