This role is an entry-level position in a finance team designed for individuals with strong accounting skills who can manage financial operations and day-to-day activities.

Beyond managing accounts payable, receivable, and payroll, the role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial data is captured, reconciled, and reported to support business decision-making.

  • General reconciliation of books and financial transactions.
  • Maintain and update supplier invoices, ensuring they match up to statements and are correct in Xero accounting software.
  • Perform regular account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and rectify errors.
  • Follow up with suppliers for outstanding accounts and ensure timely payment.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement streamlined procedures.
  • Support other clerical functions.
  • Collections and accounts receivable as required.
Responsibilities:
  • Finance Operations: Manage day-to-day accounts payable, receivable, and payroll, ensuring accurate financial data is captured, reconciled, and reported.
  • Bookkeeping: Perform general reconciliation of books and financial transactions, maintain and update supplier invoices, and perform regular account reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, providing data analysis and budgeting support.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement streamlined procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Team Support: Provide support to other clerical functions.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Qualifications in Accounting or Finance preferred.
