Cyber Security Job Overview

Cyber security analysts are the frontline of defense against cyber threats, monitoring and analyzing events to spot potential threats and respond quickly.

The role requires a combination of technical skills, including coding knowledge, SQL proficiency, and experience with web security modules and secure configuration. Additionally, the ability to analyze complex patterns and behaviors is crucial in identifying anomalous activities within the company's SaaS security platform.

This position involves conducting advanced investigations of potential automated and human threats, developing actionable insights to enhance the company's security posture, and collaborating with other teams to improve AI/ML detection and response capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and analyzing events from various sources
  • Collaborating with globally distributed teams
  • Auditing the effectiveness of security measures
  • Assisting in the implementation of security policies and procedures

Desirable skills and qualifications include exposure to web and API security, WAFs, advanced persistent threat actors, botnets, and attack mitigation. Familiarity with threat hunting, web hacking, web data analysis, or WAF hands-on experience is also beneficial.

In addition to the above-mentioned skills, the ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the cybersecurity threat landscape and the attacker mindset. Experience in scripting and programming languages such as JavaScript and Python is also desirable.
