We are urgently seeking a data privacy professional who has experience in global data privacy regulations, including CPAA, GDPR, and/or APPs. This role will focus primarily on ensuring data privacy compliance for data suppliers.

The successful applicant will join a team that already undertakes data management functions and tasks for our client, who is in the fast-growing Know Your Customer (KYC) sector used by major corporations throughout the world.

This position is office-based at our Ortigas location, working Australian hours (6am – 3pm Philippines Time).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting directly to our client's data governance and privacy lead in Australia.
  • Reviewing privacy policies of direct and indirect data suppliers.
  • Reviewing adverse media relating to new and existing data suppliers.
  • Managing, assisting, and providing guidance to mid-level paralegal colleagues who will be assigned to reviewing data privacy policies.

Key Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum of two years' experience in privacy-related roles, e.g., privacy and data governance officer.
  • Experience in roles relating to the management of personal data.
  • An analytical mind providing process improvement ideas and solutions to expedite document review processes while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Previously worked with offshore corporations in English-speaking countries.
  • Knowledge of OneTrust and/or Jira is an advantage but not essential.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
