Medical Billing Specialist Job

This is a detail-oriented and proactive Medical Billing Specialist role to support the billing and revenue cycle management team.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies (electronic and paper).
  • Post payments from insurance companies and patients into the Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Reconcile patient accounts and identify discrepancies or payment issues.
  • Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims with insurance companies.
  • Review Explanation of Benefits for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain an organized accounts receivable system and generate regular aging reports.
  • Work closely with the administrative team to ensure timely revenue collection.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or claims management.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
