About the Role

Primer is seeking an exceptional Senior General Ledger Accountant to support the Head of Finance and Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain month-end close procedures and workpapers according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and best practices.
  • Manage the fixed asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal, tracking capital expenditures, calculating depreciation, and performing periodic reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with the Revenue/Receivables team to drive timely cash applications.
  • Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and ensure proper elimination entries for consolidated entities.
  • Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for annual financial audits.
  • Interface with the accounts payable team to enforce best practices.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience as an in-house accounting professional with month-end close reconciliation experience.
  • Completed university degree in accounting; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required.
  • Strong proficiency in NetSuite, Ramp, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Comprehensive familiarity with GAAP accounting; advanced lease accounting proficiency is a plus.
  • Dedication to the role, with a passion for accounting and finance.
  • Ability to pass a background check and provide satisfactory references.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and organizational skills.
