Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero: reconciling accounts, processing invoices, managing expenses, and handling general ledger entries.

Additionally, you will use Dext to capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices; ensuring digital documents are organized and audit-ready.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Preparing supplier payments and chasing incoming payments as needed
  • Collaborating with the director to support accurate job costing
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements regularly
  • Preparing monthly management reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in bookkeeping using Xero
  • Proficiency with Dext (or similar receipt-capturing tools)
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows: invoicing, reconciliation, tracking expenses, and job costing
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in both financial and admin tasks
