Piping Design Expert Job Opportunity

As a skilled Piping Designer, you will play a critical role in the engineering and design process of heavy industrial projects. Your primary responsibility will be to handle all aspects of piping design and drafting, including 3D routing, support placement, and creating fabrication/installation drawings.

  • Design and draft piping systems, including 3D routing and support placement.
  • Develop material take-offs (MTOs) and ensure compliance with standards and codes.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers from other disciplines to create multi-discipline design packages for construction.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Navisworks, with at least 10 years of experience in heavy industrial projects. They should also be proficient in utilizing point cloud software such as Autodesk Recap or CloudWorx, and have experience with Clash Detection.

A thorough understanding of standard design and drafting practices, as well as code and plant-specific standards, is essential for this role. The ability to visualize and layout process plants and piping in 3D, as well as develop and work from P&ID's for use in plant layout & piping design, is also required.
