Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Developer to join our team. This role involves working directly with the Development Team Leader, Project Manager and wider Development team to maintain and expand internal and customer-facing systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience in database design, implementation and management, as well as strong understanding of SQL queries, PHP and GitHub.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing systems with new functionality
  • Investigating and resolving reported issues
  • Guiding maintenance and design of legacy and database systems/applications
  • Developing test cases and testing of code developed by yourself and others
  • Providing support to the wider development team
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to accurately scope and design system requirements
  • Maintaining documentation for internal systems, APIs, and databases
Requirements
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role, ideally within telecommunications
  • Experience working in remote-based teams
  • Extensive experience on database design, implementation, and management (within service-based systems)
  • Experience working with maintenance programming and enhancing functionality in existing systems
  • Strong understanding of SQL queries
  • Strong understanding of PHP and GitHub
  • Strong understanding of Laravel framework
