About the Role

The Global Workplace Health, Safety and Environment Product Owner is a critical position responsible for driving the development of standard processes in collaboration with global IT counterparts and workstream product owners. The Product Owner will lead the translation of these processes into requirements and user stories, ensuring seamless implementation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deployment Strategy Management: Plan, execute, and manage deployment strategies for HSE products, taking into account local nuances while maintaining compliance to global standards.
  • User Story Backlog Management: Consolidate feedback from Workplace MU, location leads, and Legal, and coordinate with CIO Business Architects to maintain an active backlog of user stories.
  • Process Improvement: Coordinate with other teams to understand their business processes and translate them into requirements to drive process improvement.
  • System-Wide Issue Resolution: Work closely with CIO to identify and resolve any system-wide issues and escalate as needed to resolve.
  • Champion Development: Develop and nurture champions across Workplace and GES to support local teams.
  • Training Documentation: Ensure that training documentation delivers necessary skills and support to teams using the HSE system.
  • Affiliation Strategies: Work with M&C and Change management to develop effective adoption strategies and communications to support local teams circulate and socialize change awareness.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Present deployment statistics, adoption metrics, status updates, and project risks to senior leadership, ensuring the system can deliver on ISO 45001 and 14001 compliance requirements.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Incident Management Experience: Experience with workplace health, safety, and environment incident management.
  • ISO Certification: Experience with Environment Health and Safety (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001).
  • Cultural Awareness: Global awareness and understanding of local cultural nuances with different countries.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Building: Exceptional track record of building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing roll-out of global tools and strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Team Leadership: Proven team management skills and growth mindset.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to function as a Team Player and maintain a good working relationship, yet think and act independently with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
