Job Overview

We seek a skilled data expert to support our US Customs and Border Protection operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for data analysis, reporting, and studies to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct data mining and preparation.
  • Develop and implement analytical models and solutions.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and reasonableness of data-driven recommendations.
  • Document and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Support big data initiatives and collaborate with data scientists.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience in applied research, data science, statistics, or related quantitative disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or other scientific disciplines.
  • Proficiency in data mining methods, databases, data visualization, and machine learning.
  • Experience with analytic techniques such as anomaly detection, clustering, and time-series forecasting.
  • Knowledge of NLP concepts including preprocessing, TF-IDF, named entity recognition, and LLMs.
  • Strong communication skills to present complex ideas to stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop data-driven reports and visualizations using Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, and Databricks.
  • Understanding of database design, data cleaning, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in an AWS environment is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
