We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for insurance and customer service.
About the Role:This role involves working as part of a key team in the Commercial Lines Department, educating current clients and attracting new ones. The ideal candidate will be able to provide proposals for agency producers, quote policies with top-rated carriers, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and markets.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to existing clients through in-person, email, or telephone interactions.
- Prepare renewals, remarketing accounts, process claims, and make policy changes as needed.
- Quote and issue new policies to meet client needs.
- Maintain accurate records and update client information in a timely manner.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Insurance Knowledge & Experience:- 5-7 years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance (preferred).
- A strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance policies, coverages, and products.
- Familiarity with the operations of an Independent Insurance Agency.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Ability to professionally manage and respond to phone calls and emails.
- Strong listening skills and ability to handle objections or concerns effectively.
- Ability to recognize opportunities for cross-selling or upselling policies.
- Persuasive communication skills to offer additional products where appropriate.
- Ability to manage Certificates of Insurance (COI), Evidence of Property Insurance (EOP), and Homeowners Insurance documentation.
- Experience with remarketing logs and tracking renewals.
- Experience with agency management systems (e.g., Partners XE).
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Ability to accurately process multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex insurance issues.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
