Accountant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various financial tasks.

  • Financial Management: Handle daily receipting, monthly bank reconciliation, and bank account administration.
  • Investment Management: Manage term deposits, communicate with clients regarding maturity, and ensure timely investments.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial reviews, generate reports, and provide explanations to stakeholders.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and manage monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Year-End Checks: Perform year-end financial checks, create accrual journals, and prepare budgets.
  • Levies and Audits: Issue contribution levies to owners, organize audits, and liaise with external auditors.
  • Business Onboarding/Offboarding: Assist with new business onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • BAS Preparation: Prepare and review Quarterly BAS statements.
  • Tax Preparation: Prepare and review yearly tax returns.
  • Management Agreements: Update and process management agreements, including system updates and fee corrections.
  • Bot Exception Reports: Review bot exception reports and complete tasks manually when necessary.
  • Body Corporate Loans: Coordinate and manage Body Corporate loans.
  • Payroll and Superannuation: Process payroll and superannuation for building managers employed by the Owners Corporation.
  • Bank Deposits and Investigations: Conduct ad hoc bank deposit recalls and investigate dishonoured payments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications: Degree qualification in accounting or a similar discipline.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Skills: Proven account reconciliation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Desirable Skills: Knowledge and experience in Income Tax and BAS.
