Job Role: Senior Accounting Professional

This role involves overseeing financial reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of tax obligations, liaising with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership of monthly management reports, statutory reports, and vendor-facing financial summaries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of tax obligations.
  • Liaise with vendors, auditors, and tax authorities to meet compliance and reporting deadlines.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and templates, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the finance team for month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals with high attention to detail.
  • Assist in the design, development, and automation of financial models and dashboards.
  • Stay up-to-date on taxation changes, statutory requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Contribute to internal audits, compliance checks, and control reviews.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions.
Requirements:
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a natural ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and able to manage multiple reporting timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Graduate of B.S. Accountancy or any bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Hands-on experience using Xero.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable working with SQL for data extraction and analysis.
  • Prior experience in an AU-based company is highly preferred.
