About the Role:

Marivent Hotels and Resorts Inc. is seeking an exceptional Chief Engineering Operations Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering seamless operations across our properties.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising engineers, developing policies and best practices, coordinating with various teams, and overseeing maintenance and operations of building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the engineering team, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles.
  • Develop and implement engineering policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and safety standards.
  • Coordinate closely with property management, leasing, and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Oversee the maintenance and operation of electrical, plumbing, and other building systems, ensuring they are functioning optimally.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding building operations and safety, conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Evaluate and approve purchase requests for equipment and supplies, optimizing budget allocation and resource utilization.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects, including upgrades, renovations, and new installations, to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all staff and tenants, adhering to all applicable safety regulations and building codes.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and project documentation, providing transparent insights into departmental performance.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on engineering activities, budget performance, and project status, facilitating informed decision-making at all levels.
  • Utilize property management software to track work orders, preventive maintenance, and other tasks efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management or building engineering, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
