Senior WordPress Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to fill a critical role in our organization. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring high-performance and availability of websites, collaborating with designers and content teams to deliver engaging user experiences, maintaining website security, backups, and updates, troubleshooting and resolving website issues, optimizing websites for speed and SEO, and integrating third-party APIs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement new features and functionality
  • Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins
  • Ensure high-performance and availability of websites
  • Collaborate with designers and content teams to deliver engaging user experiences
  • Maintain website security, backups, and updates
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues
  • Optimize websites for speed and SEO
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior WordPress Developer (3+ years preferred)
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and JSON/XML formats
  • Strong grasp of website architecture and aesthetics
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with WooCommerce or other eCommerce platforms
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery
  • Experience with website migration and performance testing
