Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Project Cost Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial construction, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.

About the Role
  • The Project Cost Estimator will be responsible for gathering and organizing project information, identifying missing or conflicting scope details, and performing quantity takeoffs using software like On Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam.
  • The successful candidate will also assist with construction document/plan/spec review, redlining, and requests for information.
  • Additionally, the Project Cost Estimator will estimate components of the scope of work, such as material, labor, and equipment, required to complete projects using Microsoft Excel and existing cost information.
Requirements
  • A degree in construction, engineering, business management/finance/accounting or similar fields is preferred, but not required based on level of experience and aptitude.
  • Knowledge of Construction, components of construction, and how these components are constructed.
  • Commercial construction experience across multiple trades is preferred.
  • Experience working with U.S-based clients is a plus.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Planswift is a plus.
  • Ability to understand and learn/interpret construction drawings, specifications, and renderings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with heavy emphasis in Excel, as well as electronic takeoff software.
  • Critical thinker and problem solver.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
