Job Title:

Visual Effects Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished Visual Effects Specialist to convert high-resolution 2D portrait images into captivating three-dimensional bas-relief point cloud models for precise engraving purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transform 2D images (JPEG/PNG) into detailed 3D point cloud models with raised facial features (bas-relief effect)
  • Enhance image clarity and contrast to optimize depth and detail in final output
  • Ensure seamless compatibility of point cloud files with engraving machine formats (e.g., OBJ)
  • Scale and align models to match crystal dimensions (e.g., 5cm cube)
  • Perform meticulous quality checks and deliver precision-ready files for production
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, MeshLab, or equivalent)
  • Experience with point cloud generation and manipulation
  • Familiarity with subsurface laser engraving or similar precision manufacturing processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet exacting formatting specifications
  • Capacity to work independently and manage multiple image conversions efficiently
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of advanced bas-relief modeling techniques
  • Experience in image enhancement and depth mapping
  • Understanding of OBJ file structure and compatibility standards
  • Expertise with Point Cloud Library in converting images
