Job Description

A Security Operations Center (SOC) Security Analyst plays a vital role in protecting an organization's computer systems and networks from cyber threats. This is a challenging yet rewarding career for those with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

As a SOC Security Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring network traffic and system logs to detect potential security incidents. You will also work closely with the incident response team to investigate and resolve security breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network traffic and system logs for signs of unauthorized activity
  • Investigate and analyze security incidents to identify root causes and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with the incident response team to develop and implement incident response plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and technologies to ensure effective protection of our systems and networks
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a SOC Security Analyst, you will need to have:

  • Intermediate-level skills in networking and operating systems
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response practices
