Reliability Engineer Opportunities

Key Responsibilities
  • Deepen understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, toil reduction, and velocity vs. reliability trade-offs.
  • Drive SRE adoption across teams, leveraging expertise to improve system resilience.
  • Develop strong knowledge of incident management, on-call practices, and blameless postmortems to enhance the team's ability to respond to failures.
  • Strengthen expertise in Google Cloud Platform services, solidifying cloud-native infrastructure experience.
  • Refine skills with Kubernetes focusing on scaling, workload optimization, network policies, service mesh, and troubleshooting.
  • Gain experience with infrastructure as code, streamlining deployment and reducing risk of human error.
  • Master Reliability & Observability, designing monitoring, logging, and tracing systems aligned with SLOs/SLIs.
  • Improve application performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency in cloud environments through hands-on experience.
  • Excel in Automation & Tooling, demonstrating proficiency in modern programming languages for automation and reliability tooling.
  • Advise on establishing effective CI/CD pipelines and release engineering best practices.
  • Cultivate expertise in automating reliability tasks, reducing toil, and scaling best practices.
  • Evangelize SRE best practices and influence engineering teams to adopt them.
  • Mentor engineers and foster communities of practice around reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience migrating applications to SRE operating models in multi-team settings.
  • Certification(s): Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes CKA/CKS, or equivalent.
