Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design and deployment of our next-gen network platforms. The successful candidate will join our team at a critical inflection point, where we are upgrading our province-wide ISP infrastructure for scale, resiliency, and observability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineer and deploy BGP edge routers with RPKI/ROV, uRPF, Flowspec, and RTBH
  • Stand up IPoE BNG systems, per-sub QoS enforcement, DHCPv6-PD, and IPv6-first routing
  • Integrate OLTs via ACS (GenieACS) and TR-069, with ZTP
  • Implement an observability stack: Prometheus, Grafana, sFlow/NetFlow, Alertmanager
  • Design, test, and validate edge ACLs, scrubbing integration, and anomaly detection alerts
  • Mentor junior engineers; write runbooks and rollback MOPs for remote hands
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in ISP-grade routing/switching, ideally with FRR, VyOS, or OcNOS
  • Mastery of BGP/OSPF, PPPoE/IPoE, uRPF, QoS, NAT, and AAA
  • Working knowledge of Proxmox, Linux, containerized monitoring (Docker/Prometheus stack)
  • Familiarity with optical fiber networks, OLT/ONU provisioning, VLAN planning
  • Resilience to work in a countryside setting
Bonus Skills
  • Ansible/Git-based config deployment
  • IPoE session scale validation (iperf3, TREX)
  • Scripting for automation (Python, shell, REST API use)
  • Experience with multicast, EVPN, or MPLS in SP environments
