Pharmacy Assistant Job Description

The Pharmacy Assistant plays a vital role in the daily operations of our pharmacy. Their primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive knowledgeable and courteous assistance with their healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  2. Monitor stock levels and maintain an organized inventory system.
  3. Assist customers with finding products and answering questions about medications and health-related topics.
  4. Perform tasks related to store maintenance, such as cleaning and restocking shelves.
  5. Collaborate with pharmacists and other staff members to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and bend/stoop as needed.
