Mental Health Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing mental health support and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

The Mental Health Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our helpline is properly staffed, including efforts during peak periods. This may involve working varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing empathetic and non-judgmental support to callers via phone, text, or chat.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and effectiveness in all interactions.
  • Utilizing established scripts and best practices to ensure consistent support.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders through various channels.
  • Collaborating with the operations team and coaches to address clients' needs.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 2-4 years experience working in a helpline environment.
  • Completed training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) or its equivalent.
  • Certified in Psychological First Aid and Suicide Prevention.
  • A strong understanding of mental health principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in challenging situations.
