Financial Manager

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial management and be able to take ownership of bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the Xero accounting system: reconciling accounts, processing invoices, managing expenses, and handling general ledger entries.
- Utilizing Dext to capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices; ensuring digital documents are organized and audit-ready.
- Processing and tracking accounts payable and receivable; preparing supplier payments and chasing incoming payments as needed.
- Collaborating with senior management to support accurate job costing: allocating materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Preparing monthly management reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries.
- Assisting with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and liaising with external accountants for GST and tax matters.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping using Xero.
- Proficiency with Dext or similar receipt-capturing tools.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping workflows: invoicing, reconciliation, tracking expenses, and job costing.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail in both financial and admin tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
