About This Job

Our organization is seeking a seasoned expert to fill the position of Senior SQL Developer. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in our data team, leveraging their skills to analyze and develop SSIS projects, as well as resolve SQL-related issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Develop SSIS projects to manage ETL, transmission, encryption, and archiving of files received and generated.
  2. Optimize SQL database performance.
  3. Design, implement, and maintain database tables, stored procedures, and supporting objects.
  4. Create operational reports for both internal and external clients.
  5. Collaborate with the data team to provide support, resolve recurring problems, and improve processes.
  6. Document database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures.
  7. Develop and optimize SQL queries, as well as handle ad hoc requests for data.
  8. Contribute to capacity planning and resource expansion through data aggregation and analysis.
  9. Work closely with project managers to ensure that reports and metrics accurately identify business needs and opportunities for process improvement.
  10. Identify inefficiencies in the database platform and propose solutions to management.
  11. Apply problem-solving skills to assist in resolving business problems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Database engineer or a related role.
  • At least 3 years of experience with SSIS.
  • Strong knowledge of C# and/or VB.NET.
  • Comprehensive understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Able to write and troubleshoot SQL code, design stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, and constraints.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012 or later.
  • Proficient in SSRS.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server internals, with a focus on query performance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to multitask with multiple complex and demanding projects.
