Job Description: Financial Operations Manager (Payroll Specialist)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-Day Bookkeeping Tasks: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
  • Financial Record Management: Reconcile bank statements and financial records in MYOB and Xero, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle PAYG withholding, superannuation, and employee entitlements with precision and attention to detail.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit BAS and GST reports in accordance with Australian Tax Office (ATO) regulations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with end-of-month and year-end financial reporting, providing valuable insights for business growth.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Australian taxation laws and regulations, maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
  • Client Support: Respond to client queries regarding payroll and bookkeeping matters, offering expert guidance and support.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with accountants and other team members to ensure seamless financial management and efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper and/or Payroll Specialist for Australian clients.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MYOB and XERO accounting software, along with a strong understanding of Australian taxation laws.
  • Knowledge and Qualifications: Knowledge of payroll processes, including superannuation compliance, and a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
