This is a vital role that plays a key part in safeguarding an organization's digital assets and information against cyber threats and attacks. The Cyber Security Analyst must assess security risks, develop effective security measures, and maintain vigilance against potential breaches to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.

Main Responsibilities
  • Risk Identification and Monitoring: Identify and analyze potential security threats by monitoring system logs, network traffic, and security tools; stay updated on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Security Incident Response: Respond quickly to security incidents, investigate breaches, and provide timely resolutions. Develop incident-response plans and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate and recover from reported security breaches.
  • Conduct assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications; develop strategies for remediating vulnerabilities and minimizing potential risks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant college-level coursework in IT and computer science, with 1 year minimum experience.
  • Fundamental log analysis and troubleshooting skills; strong understanding of networking protocols and operating systems; ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to evolving cyber threats.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical certifications advantageous (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CEH).
