Medical Content Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Medical Content Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality medical communications for various audiences.

This role requires a strong science or healthcare background combined with excellent writing skills to produce engaging and informative content for branded campaigns, patient education materials, and medical slide decks.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of translating complex medical/scientific concepts into clear and concise copy. You will also be skilled in creating visual aids such as slide decks, websites, and branded campaign assets.

In addition to your technical skills, you must be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to drive the editorial process from first draft to final proof, ensuring accuracy and quality of all content.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex medical/scientific concepts into clear and concise copy.
  • Create medical slide decks, websites, branded campaign assets, and patient education materials.
  • Drive the editorial process from first draft to final proof; ensuring accuracy and quality of all contents.
  • Partner with design, strategy, account managers and project management teams.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and Code-compliant.
  • Attend scientific meetings, advisory boards, and client meetings.
  • Contribute research and content to proposals and pitch presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or PhD in any science or medical field.
  • At least 2-5 years of medical writing experience, including creating medical or scientific content for clinical trials, doctors, healthcare, and the public.
  • Experience in pharma agency work is a great advantage.
  • Knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of using Veeva/PromoMats (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure all content is on-brand and compliant.
  • Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
