Job DescriptionOverview

The NetSuite Developer will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the functionality of the NetSuite Application, ensuring seamless alignment with evolving business needs. Key responsibilities include developing and deploying customizations, scripts, and SuiteApps, providing technical support to end users, and maintaining third-party integrations.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
  • Develop solutions for our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Backend, NetSuite.
  • Develop and maintain our websites, including Toolup.com.
  • Develop new site functionality, fix bugs, and implement new designs.
  • Answer code-related support cases.
  • Work with our team and external partners to roadmap and implement features.
  • Work designs/html into Handlebars.js templates.
  • Plan, review, and revise configurations and customizations of NetSuite.
  • Develop, test, and deploy customizations, scripts, Suite Apps, etc. based on evolving business requirements.
  • Upgrade Suite Commerce Advanced Platform.
  • Maintain all third-party integrations.
  • Ensure data availability, continuity, and security within the organization. Regularly propose architecture and security initiatives to minimize exposure and optimize performance.
  • Present and implement technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements. Manage and safeguard software media and associated licenses.
  • Maintain confidentiality when discussing internal matters related to information technology.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complete projects and assignments on time.
  • Participate in job-related training and continuing education.
Requirements
  • At least five years programming experience with a strong understanding of JavaScript.
  • Backbone.js experience or MVC expertise is preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of advanced concepts and basic operating principles of information systems software in NetSuite.
  • Proficiency in different Netsuite script types (Map/Reduce, User Event Script, Client Scripts, Suitelets).
  • Netsuite Developer certification is a bonus but not required.
  • Experience using Celigo or SuiteScripts for third-party integrations is a bonus but not required.
  • Experience working in an e-commerce environment is preferred.
  • Able to effectively gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Eagerness for solving problems and commitment to accepting responsibility.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
