Android Engineer Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning major features and collaborating with designers to deliver high-quality features inside the app.
  • Shaping the future of the Android team.
  • Maintaining and improving reliability metrics for key features.
  • Participating in cross-team discussions.
  • Reviewing code and supporting teammates.
  • Handling critical issues or unexpected challenges.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Familiarity with Android components.
  • Experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Strong understanding of product design principles.
  • Ability to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing principles and writing tests.
  • Self-motivation to improve the app and codebase beyond specifications.
  • Expertise in Kotlin, Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with continuous feedback from leaders.
