Job Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Tax Preparation & Compliance: Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses using Intuit ProConnect Tax Software, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a team of tax preparation professionals, setting performance expectations and monitoring team performance, overseeing the review of tax returns, mentoring and developing staff, and reporting on team performance.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as primary contact for key clients, reviewing tax returns with clients, maintaining effective communication with a diverse client base, managing a larger and more complex portfolio, supporting client retention and business growth, and identifying opportunities for service expansion and client financial optimization.
  • Data Security & Confidentiality: Oversee data security and confidentiality measures, ensuring accurate preparation of audit schedules, coaching team members, and upholding high ethical standards in financial reporting and client interactions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of U.S. tax laws and accounting standards, with 5-7 years of U.S. accounting experience, a focus on tax preparation and compliance, proficiency in Intuit ProConnect Tax Software, and excellent interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset.
