Cloud Computing Specialist

We are looking for a seasoned professional to spearhead our digital transformation initiatives as a cloud computing specialist. This role involves designing, building, and managing cloud-based application platforms that support innovative solutions for telecommunications, tech, and media services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design automated containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on application concerns, including cloud-ready distributed application architectures, migrating workloads to containers, containerized development workflows, and integrating container platforms with automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide expert guidance to the developer community in best practices associated with CI/CD deployments using Azure DevOps and GitLab.
  • Develop and maintain continuous delivery frameworks and tools, and serve as a subject matter expert on CI/CD for developer teams.
  • Design and build infrastructure as a service layers that support different platform services.
  • Create and manage continuous delivery pipelines to automate the lifecycle of platform components.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related IT field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps operations, including automation and CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in Docker as a Developer.
  • Experience with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including operator installs, Helm charts, cluster installs, job configuration, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps and GitLab, and CI/CD processes.
  • Strong skills in automating application deployments via CI/CD pipelines using best practices and open-source tooling.
  • Proficiency in automating Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure using tools like Terraform.
  • Excellent PowerShell skills.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members, vendors, and management.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
