About the Role:
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for solution design, analysis, testing, and integration of network infrastructure solutions. Additionally, they will provide technical expertise during troubleshooting and assist senior network engineers in preparing hardware orders, config generation, testing, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop comprehensive network infrastructure solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Provide technical expertise during troubleshooting and perform after-hours implementation support, installation, and maintenance as required.
- Hardware and Software Evaluation: Evaluate and select hardware and software products, implement, and integrate these products into comprehensive solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior network engineers to prepare hardware orders, config generation, testing, and implementation.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure security and operational standards and procedures are maintained in accordance with IT compliance requirements, HIPAA standards, and industry best practices.
- Risk Analysis: Perform risk analysis to identify IT security issues and remediation plans, and identify and/or mitigate operational risks where appropriate.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Maintain excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal skills, with the ability to create and maintain strong relationships with members of cross-departmental teams and department team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of network engineering concepts, including routing, switching, LAN/WAN, wireless technology, and installing and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, and wireless. They should also have experience working with SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, and NAC.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in routing, switching, LAN/WAN, wireless technology.
- Education: Undergraduate degree and/or equivalent of 4+ years of Network Engineering experience.
- Certifications: CCNP or higher certification.
- Technical Skills: Skilled in programming languages such as Python and experienced with documentation tools like Visio.
- Soft Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to cross between technical and non-technical audiences.
