Strategic Lending and Risk Management Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Lending and Risk Management Executive to join our Finance Team in BGC. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lending cluster businesses through strategic lending and risk management.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic lending plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Mentoring and coaching Corporate Planning Officers on performance reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Leading the annual planning/budgeting/forecasting exercise and coordinating with lending cluster business unit heads.
  • Monitoring and reporting lending cluster business performance, highlighting deviations against established goals and objectives.
  • Providing recommendations on opportunities and risks in lending cluster business financials and key performance drivers.
  • Supporting the launch of new products or marketing programs through financial analysis and decision support.
  • Maintaining policies and procedures for reporting frameworks, processes, business models, and financial analysis/capital budgeting.
  • Performing supervisory functions on goal setting, performance assessment, timekeeping, leave management, and SLA monitoring.
  • Supporting the Corporate Planning Head in achieving the goals and objectives of the Corporate Planning Group.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Banking/Economics or equivalent.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.
  • MBA is preferred but not required.
  • At least 8 years of work-related experience in the banking industry.
  • Experience in Corporate or Business Finance is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MIS systems and Analytics.
  • Extensive knowledge of Consumer and Business Lending Products and Services.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office/Accounting & Operating Systems.
  • Management Reporting, Budgeting, and ALCO experience is a must.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong or above-average analytical skills.
