Job Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Description
  • Conduct sampling, testing and analyses in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform standardization and prepare reagents and solutions as needed.
  • Prepare and update reports related to the analyses performed.
  • Maintain and operate equipment used in performing analyses.
  • Sign worksheets and job instructions accurately.
  • Evaluate work performance against SGS policies, Integrated Management System and other standards.
  • Operate to the highest standards of ethics, adhering to the SGS Code of Integrity.
  • Pursue additional training or education as assigned by immediate superior.
  • Participate in Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) initiatives.
  • Comply with laws and regulations related to HSEE.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Dispose of waste generated during daily work safely and efficiently.
  • Report incidents and near misses that may impact QHSEE objectives.
  • Maintain safe and tidy worksites according to 5S program guidelines.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and propose risk control measures.
  • Engage in incident investigations and risk assessments as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Agrichemistry.
  • Licensed chemist or chemical technician certification.
