Job Opportunity: Quality Assurance Engineer

About this role:

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer to play a key role in helping us achieve our vision of building great workplaces with 'people analytics'. This individual will be responsible for developing well-reasoned and business-aware test strategies, applying a risk-based approach to testing, and analyzing requirements and business risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of software development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing efforts based on risk and user impact.
  • Design and develop automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Analyze complex issues and provide actionable recommendations for resolution.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of QA methodologies, test types, and test design techniques.
  • Ability to self-organize, think critically, and prioritize testing efforts based on risk and user impact.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, issue trackers, and test case management tools.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with test automation and scripting for API/UI testing.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools.
  • Exposure to cloud environments and testing in distributed systems.
  • Experience with simulators/emulators is a plus.
